Project summary: Supply and install insulated biogas dome
Project Scope
To supply a pvc membrane insulated biogas dome.
Design Requirement
A double membrane PVC insulated biogas dome fitted on top of a 26m diameter concrete tank digester. The gas dome has a storage volume of 980m3 operating at a pressure of 6mbar. An insulating layer was included within the membranes to provide insulation.
Products/services
The membrane gas dome was designed, manufactured and delivered to site. One of our Site Supervisors attended site and with assistance from the Client installed and commissioned the gas dome.
Outcome
The gas dome provided storage and a constant system gas operating pressure. The insulating layer reduced the heat loss through the top of the digester by 50%.
